The same slogans being voiced in demonstrations in Siyazan and Aghjabadi.
For the last several hours, Lankaran residents have demonstrated against rising prices. Residents have protested against the sharp price hikes observed following the currency devaluation.
Protesters have blocked the Baku-Astara highway in the Liman settlement. Police reportedly tried to stop the demonstration.
Protests with the same demands also took place in Siyazan and Agcabadi regions. In Siyazan, local executive head Asif Huseynov arrived on the scene. Protesters have refused to speak to him and demand to speak to their parliamentary deputies. They said they will continue the protest until the morning if deputies fail to appear.
Meanwhile, according to demonstrators in Aghjabadi, three of the protesters attempted suicide, and were prevented by residents.
Police have intervened in all three demonstrations.
