Bakir Rustamzade, the father of political prisoner Ilkin Rustamzade, was hospitalized on April 22. He is undergoing a heart surgery, Turan reported citing journalist Shahvalad Chobanoglu.
Ilkin Rustamzade, an activist of NIDA Civic Movement, a youth movement in support of democratic change in Azerbaijan, was arrested in April 2013. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison on charges of hooliganism and participation in mass riots.
