The Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine says
the Ukrainian police have taken a serious interest into the matter of disappearing Azerbaijani cargo trucks.
The embassy says it is seriously concerned about the recent loss of trucks in the territory of Ukraine with the cargo of Azerbaijani companies, and says it has appealed to the relevant authorities in the country to look into the matter.
In recent weeks, trucks belonging to Azerbaijani shipping and cargo companies “Araz Supermarket MMC”, “Azərsun Holding”, “Veysəloğlu”, “Epid Biomed” and others have been disappearing in Ukraine.
The embassy urged the heads of Azerbaijani companies not to be fooled by offers of cheap, fraudulent internet firms that offer transportation services, and to only trust serious shipping logistics companies.
The other day the Azerbaijani company Epid Biomed announced that their car with a cargo of drugs and medical equipment weighing 20 tons was hijacked and stolen in Ukraine by unknown individuals.
As the general director of the company Surkhay Mustafayev said, the car disappeared together with the driver. The total cost of the cargo is approximately 170,000 euros.
Over the past few months, 18 cars with cargoes of Azerbaijani companies have been stolen on the territory of Ukraine.
