On Thursday September 24, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the executive director of the UN Committee on the fight against terrorism,

reports. The meeting took place within the framework of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
At the meeting, Laborde noted that Azerbaijan was a country suffering from terrorism and commended the work done in the country to combat it.He also said that he intended to visit Azerbaijan.
Mammadyarov emphasized that the number of Azerbaijani citizens participating in the hostilities in Iraq and Syria was less than the number of European citizens.
