Local Baku theatre Ado Teatri has had to change locations six times in the past five years for numerous reasons. However, the avant-garde theatre group, headed by director Elmin Badalov, is confident their most recent move will be relatively permanent given their growing standing and respect in the theatre community.
To celebrate the new opening, the theatre hosted an art exhibition of local artist Lyubov Mirjavadova and put on a brief drama performance based off her works. French actress Elsa Furtado played solo in the theatre’s piece titled “Hamam” (
Az. sauna, bath).
