Another youth activist was arrested this morning in a wave of what seems to be a government crackdown on civil society and free speech.
According to NIDA Civic Movement, one of their members, Amid Suleymanov, was arrested this morning by police and taken to Baku Police Department No. 5.
Suleymanov’s father reported that 5 – 6 men in civilian clothing later search their apartment, and took away his son’s computer and passport.
So far, there has been no announcement by the police as to the reason for his arrest.
