2 Killed in Nagorno-Karabakh Shelling

Around 8 pm on July 4, the Armenian Armed Forces shelled the village of Alkhanli in the Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan.

Around 8 pm on July 4, the Armenian Armed Forces shelled the village of Alkhanli in the Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the shelling two resident of the village – 50-year-old Sahiba Guliyeva and 2 year-old Zahra Guliyeva were killed. 52-year-old Sarvinaz Guliyeva has been seriously wounded and taken to the hospital.

APA’s Karabakh correspondent reported that several houses in the village have been damaged as a result of heavy shelling.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armenian Armed Forces shelled Alkhanli village with mortars of 82mm and 120mm caliber, and also with heavy grenade launchers. International observation organizations were informed of the exchange of fire.

Alkhanli is located in Azerbaijan’s far west, to the south of the Armenian controlled territories of Nagorno-Karabakh.
