Today is Fuad Gahramanli’s trial

At 15:00 today, the Nasimi District Court will review Fuad Gahramanli’s appeal to replace his prison term with house arrest.

Nasimi District Court has declined Popular Front Party (PFPA) deputy chief Fuad Gahramanli’s appeal to replace his prison term with house arrest, Gahramanli’s family told Meydan TV.

Judge Babak Panahov stated that the request couldn’t be fulfilled. Gahramanli’s lawyer Nemat Karimli told Turan News Agency that he will appeal the decision.

Gahramanli was arrested on December 8, 2015, on

charges of public appeals against the state, national, racial and religious hatred. Gahramanli is charged with incitement to illegal actions in the religious village of Nardaran after the arrest of Muslim unity Movement members and leader Taleh Bagirzade.

The defense calls the charges absurd.
