President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on financial support for religious organizations.
Under the decree, the funds will be allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of Azerbaijan. One million manats (approximately $588,000 USD) are earmarked for the Caucasian Muslim Office. The Baku diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and the religious community of Mountain Jews will each receive 250,000 manats each (approximately 147,000 USD). The European Jewish community, the Albanian-Udi community, and the Catholic Church of Baku have all been allocated 100,000 manats (approximately $ 59,000 USD).
