A body believed to be one of the workers missing since an explosion on the
Guneshli
oil platform almost two months ago was recovered on January 29 near Turkmenistan’s shores.
According to the Emergency Situations Ministry, the investigation team is preparing to fly to the place to investigate and deliver body, Turan reported.
On December 4, a fire blazed through SOCAR’s offshore oil platform. Of the crew of 63 on the Guneshli rig, 33 were rescued. Eleven bodies have been recovered, while 19 are still missing.
