The State Committee on Property Issues of the Azerbaijan Republic has announced an auction for the privatization of 71 companies, small state institutions, transport assets and 34 non-residential land plots.
The auction will take place on February 14. Both foreign citizens and Azerbaijanis are welcome to offer bids.
Azerbaijan began the privatization of the economy in the mid-1990s, when citizens were given vouchers which could be exchanged for shares in public enterprises.
