The Municipal elections in Azerbaijan are over. Many local observers described these as yet another violated election in the history of Azerbaijan.
The face of this woman in particular was plastered across independent and opposition outlets during municipal elections in Azerbaijan. Her yelling at the journalist filming the irregularities at the precinct where she worked was shared thousands of times on the social media. Despite the evidence captured on camera, she claimed there was no ballot stuffing, kicked out the journalist from the polling station, physically attacked him and tore apart his credentials.
On January 12, the Central Election Commission dismissed the station along with the election results – annulling them.
Small victory in the sea of violated elections.
