Novruz Mamedov, the deputy head of the Azerbaijani presidential administration, accused the OSCE Minsk Group of not being “serious” about resolving the long-simmering Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The presidential aide today alleged that the Minsk Group “does not use the instruments of international law,”

“This proves that the approach of the co-chair countries to the conflict is not quite fair,” he said.
Mamedov further added that the refugee crisis is testament to the Western countries’ inability to solve problems.
In related news, James Warlick of the United States will continue to co-chair the Minsk Group, despite multiple reports in the Azerbaijani about his possible replacement. The US Embassy in Azerbaijan refuted those reports, according to

.
“The US has full faith and confidence in Ambassador Warlick and he will continue as Co-Chair,” a source at the embassy told Turan.
The Minsk Group was created in 1992 by the OSCE to encourage a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
