New laws to tighten restrictions on religion in Azerbaijan
On September 5, two bills were submitted by Ilham Aliyev to the National Parliament of Azerbaijan concerning the rights of citizens to proselytize, participate in religious demonstrations and lead Islamic religious rites. The bills are scheduled to be discussed at the next meeting of the National Parliament, which will take place on September 8.
