Head of the Azerbaijani Popular Front Party (APFP) Ali Karimli announced the location and time for the next rally of the National Council of Democratic Forces of Azerbaijan on March 29.
Karimli says the rally will be held peacefully and will protest rampant corruption and price hikes in the country.
Commenting on the makeup of the rally, Karim said “this rally is not taking place within the framework of a given political party – it is for all our sakes. The Azerbaijan has a right to ask of its government why the average monthly wage is 63 euros when the total GDP of the country was more than 75 billion last year. It has the right to ask, ‘why can’t we fight against corruption in this country, while in other countries [the people they] openly oppose it?'”
The National Council of Democratic Forces is an Azerbaijani political union created in the run up to the 2013 presidential elections.
