Musavat party condemns the persecution of the relatives of the Meydan TV editor Gunel Mevlut,
Turan
reports. The party released a statement where they call on the immediate release of Gunel Mevlut brothers Raja and Vekil Imanov detained on October 13.
According to the family, the brothers’ detention was carried out by the classical rules of repression. The statement reads that it is no secret that the brothers were arrested to punish their sister.
The pressure on the employees of Meydan TV, detention and harassment of their families are a measure of the hard nature of repression, the statement noted.
