Today, November 24, one of Mrs. Yunus’s lawyer Elchin Gambarov confirmed deteriorating health condition of rights advocate. Since her arrest, she has lost 13 kilos. She has been unable to eat. In her meeting with Gambarov, Mrs. Yunus said she fears she might survive past December.
In the meantime, prison management refuted any reports of Yunus’s health condition. “Reports of health problems are unfounded”, said the Prison’s Public Relations Department.
As Mrs. Yunus’s health continues to worsen and there are no signs of her release, it is likely that soon Mrs. Yunus wont even be able to report herself of her conditions.
