European Court of Human Rights Announces 15 Verdicts

The European Court of Human Rights released 15 verdicts on February 16, concerning cases of illegal detention, violation of freedom of assembly, fair investigation.

The European Court of Human Rights released 15 verdicts on February 16, concerning cases of illegal detention, violation of freedom of assembly, fair investigation.

10 defendants whose rights were found to be violated were awarded between 9,000 – 12,000 euros – sums which the government of Azerbaijan is obliged to pay by nature of its being a signatory to the European Convent on Human Rights.

Attorney Asabali Mustafayev reported that he will collect 9,700 euros in legal fees for his work on the 15 cases.
