The Working Group has released an updated list of political prisoners in Azerbaijan. The updated list comprises 93 names of Azerbaijani activists. Previous version of the report released in May consisted of 80 people,

The selection criterion for compiling the report was based on the PACE Resolution N 1900 of October 3, 2012. Three people, including Leyla and Arif Yunus, were removed from the list. However, 16 more people were added since May 2015.
New names added to the list include relatives of the chief editor of “Azadlig” newspaper Ganimat Zahid – Rufat Zahidov and Rovshan Zahidov, satirical poet Tofig Hasanov, a relative of the head of “Meydan TV” Emin Milli – Nazim Agabayov, brothers of Gunel Mevlut, the editor of “Meydan TV” – Vekil Imanov Raji Imanov, contact.az reports. The daughter of the head of the National Council Jamil Hasanli, Gunel Hasanli, was also added to the list.
In addition, the list includes the deputy chairman of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Fuad Gahramanli, adviser to the head PPFA Mamed Ibrahim, an activist of Nakhchivan branch of PFPA Zeynalabdin Bagirzade, PFPA activist in Nakhchivan- Nazim Mahmudov.
