Azerbaijani Olympics athletes who receive medal prizes will be rewarded financially.
President Ilham Aliyev signed a bill defining financial rewards for victors at the olympics and their trainers. Those receiving gold medals will receive 400,000 AZN, their trainers – 200,000 AZN. Athletes coming in second will receive 200,000 AZN, their trainers – 100,000 AZN. Bronze medalist will receive 100,000 AZN, their trainers – half that.
